Alliant Energy’s PowerHouse TV
The Greater Fairfield Area Habitat for Humanity and Alliant Energy’s PowerHouse TV Show partnered together to document how extremely energy efficient design can be achieved on a modest budget. Holly Butler, President of HDLB Architecture and Design, served as Designer and Construction Manager for the project. This particular house received a HERS (Home Energy Rating System) score of 52, meaning that it is 48% more energy efficient than the standard new home and almost 80% more efficient than the average resale home.
