About Us

HDBL Architecture and Design, PLLC was created in 2015 by Holly Butler, AIA. We would love to help you design a beautiful, healthy, energy efficient home or office that sits lightly and elegantly upon its site.

HDLB Architecture and Design is a full-service architectural practice located in Fairfield, Iowa. We specialize in extremely energy efficient, sustainable design for the custom home or small commercial building.

The changing nature of our world has lead to high costs for fossil fuel consumption, both financially and ethically. The architectural industry has recently taken action by enacting strict new building codes and standards to regulate the use of energy in all new construction and renovations. These requirements are an excellent step in the right direction, but they can be tough for both homeowners and building contractors to navigate.
